What happens to the advanced functions when you half-press the shutter release button?

1) On half-pressing the shutter release button, the Face Detection mode gets activated and you will see a display mark on the face of your subject.

2) Once you’ve selected Shutter / Aperture Priority mode with the required shutter / aperture value, half-pressing the shutter release button will respectively calculate the corresponding aperture / shutter speed based on the scene’s exposure requirements.

3) When shooting in the Auto mode, half-pressing the shutter release button will give you an indication of the exposure values that the camera will set for capturing the scene. If however, you feel that suggested exposure values will not provide the required effect, then one can override them using the Exposure Compensation settings on the camera.
