Watch out for the temperature!

Even though some cameras may be sturdy enough to endure high temperatures, you should still take precautions when it comes to exposing them to high temperatures and harsh conditions. A grave mistake to make is to leave your camera in your car during sunny conditions, or under direct sunlight. Doing so can harm the plastic. Similarly, exposing your cameras to extremely low temperatures can also cause the LCD to wear off!
